Google has made our life much easier with its new tools or apps. Being the best search engine it has created trust over the people. A trust which cannot be broken easily. Now here we are talking about Google Meet. Some of us have heard and some of us don’t.
What is Google Meet?
Google Meet which was previously known as Google Hangouts Meet, is primarily designed for professionals use, and is basically a video- conference-calling platform. This can bring all the colleagues together in one platform for real time interaction.
The fun fact is that here around 25 people can share video and speak at once. And the most fun part here is if you get the membership this number can rise up to 50 or 100 people.
Free Or Paid
Earlier, you needed to have a paid G Suite Account, for $6, $12, and $25 per month for adding 25, 50 and 100 people respectively. But for existing users, the premium version was made free last month only.
But the call should be started by only a G Suite Account holder, then only people could join the Meet call without paying for the product. So now everyone can start calls on Meet for free.
How to use it?
Now coming to the major part, how to use it right? And I know you want to use the free version. To use the free version, first go to the Google Meet Page. From there you have to enter your details name, country, email and other (business, education, government). Read Google’s terms and conditions and hit the Submit button.
After signing up the free version:
- You first have to go to the meet.google.com.
- Enter your meeting code or you can Click -> Start New Meeting.
- Now choose which google account you want to use.
- Not hit the Join Meeting button. You can also add others to your meeting as well.
That’s it! You can now video call your colleagues and talk about your work freely. Add as many as people you want. You can add people according to your needs. There are a lot of video calling apps, but Google Meet has advanced features.
